As a result we are expanding and looking to recruit care staff.

Experience is desired in a care setting, dedication and reliability is more important. Training provided for people lacking experience but have with the right attitude and motivation. You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills and be willing to learn including completing NVQ level 2/3 funded by Derbyshire Care Services.

You will need to be flexible as we require you to work during the day, evening, weekend and sleepovers. Our services are tailored around our clients 24 hour care needs. Therefore you will need to demonstrate commitment and reliability to hard work.

You can choose to work part time or full time, we offer excellent rates of pay and holiday entitlement and holiday pay. Being able to drive will be an advantage because we assist our clients in their own homes. We pay travel expenses, offer mandatory and specialist training and provide a uniform. All care staff will be expected to undertake CRB. References will be required and in all cases cross checked.
You can work fixed parmanent hours i,e 7 till 2pm or 4 till 10 pm in week days also you can work same hours on the weekend as well.

The main requirements of the Care Assistant are;

You will be responsible for the well being and safety of service users.

Assistance with physical, emotional and social needs of service users.

Care staff will need to be respectful and caring whilst working with service user preserving their dignity, self-respect and avoid dependency at all times. You will be expected to assist service users with personal care, domestic assistance, mobility and assistance with all daily living tasks. You will also assist service users to social life opportunities, attend appointments and access public resources.

Derbyshire Care Services provides services for Adults (over 18 years of age). We work in all sectors including Elderly People, People with learning disabilities and People with mental health problems. Experience of issues related to Alzheimer’s and dementia would also be an advantage.
