It is for stages 1, 2, 3
Group 1 = from 9 months to 4 years old - 9-18kg
Group 2 = from 4 to 6 years old - 15-25 kg
Group 3 = from 6 to 11 years - 22-36 kg

Basically it can be used from 9mths old up until the maximum weight of 36kg (79.37lb)

The cover comes off the car seat for cleaning if required
