We are a manufacturing company with tight deadlines and high levels of customer service. We have two locations in the UK, 50 desktop users and 15 mobile users. We have 12 servers operating in two different locations. We have an IT system that's been patched together with too little investment over too many years. It's in need of major modernization. We want enterprise-level security and reliability. We are open to open source. We are open to IaaS.

We want a full-time, smart, sensible, proactive, reliable person with a lot of energy to resolve a lot of issues. You must be patient and experienced and determined enough to do things right the first time. You must be on-site full-time for the first six months at minimum to be successful in this role, and you must be ok working long hours and during weekends now and then. You must have a minimum of 3 years experience in systems admin. You must enjoy managing people because you will have one or two recent graduates on your team who will help you provide desktop support.

The ideal candidate will also have strong programming/DB skills.
