The Alzheimer’s Society Needs You!
The Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running - Nottingham, Sunday 13th September 2009.
The Alzheimer’s Society is one of the chosen charities for this year's Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running in Nottingham.
As the event approaches, we're still on the hunt for more volunteers and therefore need you!
We are currently looking for marshals for the event on the 13th September, and people to provide help and information in the charities tent on the day.
The Robin Hood Marathon is great fun, so please bring your family and friends along to help!
Last year, the Alzheimer’s Society volunteers who cheered on the runners on the final sections of the route and those who helped in the charities tent were an essential part of the Society’s team. The Society received an unprecedented amount of positive feedback from the runners.
So far over £15,000 has been received from last year’s event with more expected. This money will be used to support people with dementia and their carers in the East Midlands.
If you are interested in being part of our 2009 volunteer team please contact Liz Thornton on 01636 642813 or via email at liz.thornton@alzheimers.org.uk
