An Interactive whiteboard is a touch sensitive board used as a powerful tool for teaching and presenting. Whiteboards either respond to touch (resistive) or respond to pens (electromagnetic). Primary schools often prefer finger interactive whiteboards as its easier for younger children to use the boards. Secondary school pupils may find that they prefer to use the pen provided with the electromagnetic boards.

You can simply press on its large, touch-sensitive surface to access and control any application. You can write, draw and operate a PC/laptop using the board.
At Advance Data we recommend the supply and installation of Smartboard or Promethean interactive whiteboards. Combined with a projector installation
We offer a free site survey to discuss your individual requirements; this will also enable us to asses the room layout and ceiling structure as these vary from plasterboard, steel Girders, wooden slats and concrete. We can then provide the correct projector mount components on the day of the installation.
The interactive whiteboard will be securely fixed to the dedicated wall at the pre planned location and height. The speakers will be mounted either side of the interactive whiteboard
The projector must be securely fixed to the ceiling of the room no less than 2.5 meters from the floor. We will aim to fix the projector 2 – 3.5 meters away from the interactive whiteboard

All cabling will be routed through suspended ceilings and hidden if possible and if not will be concealed in 16 mm x 25 mm surface mounted Trunking
