TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER

RESPONSIBLE TO: CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the management of a project(s) from estimate to completion.

SUMMARY OF TASKS

1. Production of management reports as may be required.

2. Instigation and management of procedures to ensure that the company’s financial and contractual (etc) interests are covered including giving notices, obtaining and providing information as may be required under the contract(s) and dealing promptly with all the contract(s) correspondence.

3. Ensure the production, monitoring and updating, if necessary, of all appropriate programmes.

4. Cultivate and maintain good working relationships and communications between all members of staff and the clients and subcontractors teams.

5. Financial management including internal and external reports & forecasts, ensuring prompt payments from the client, prompt payment to subcontractors and obtaining and issuing variation details.

6. Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the latest Health & Safety legislation and good working practice, and company procedures.

7. Oversee and manage the design process from inception to completion.

8. Supervision of assistants.

9. Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with quality plans and contract requirements.

10. Ensure the timely placement of orders and subcontracts to cover the whole of the work.

11. Visit the site, the client, consultants and others as appropriate to ensure the proper progress of the works and adherence to the required procedures of the client and company.

12. Produce and/or contribute to strategic programming for works of the company Project Management department.

13. Contribute to the tender process for the company.

14. All other duties which may be required by the Construction Director.

Ideally you will have at least 5 years in a Project Managers role and experience of running a project from the design to completion stage.

The salary would be between £44K to £50K with a company car and benefits listed below. We are looking for someone to start end of June with a training period in the South Coast office and then transfer to Nottingham pre-contract start.
