My client is a fantastic market disruptive technology developer operating in and around renewables based technology. They are looking to grow all team disciplines with additions to electronics design, test, manufacturing and R&D.

They are currently seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer / Software Quality Engineer to focus on the quality assurance aspects of the company's software development programmes. This role has responsibility for understanding the software specifications that are needed for each project and making sure engineering teams deliver software able to meet the required standards. You will liaise with all departments as well as customers in order to meet specification requirements and if necessary agree any deviations to each project. You will also get involved in the preparation of systems design specs and test manuals. In particular you will also work on Quality Assurance plans which include documentation procedures, Life Cycle and Configuration Control (ISO9000 and IEC61508).

We require a degree qualified software engineer with some C or C++ object orientated programming experience and in particular good knowledge of micro controllers. You will also have had some experience implementing a software Quality Assurance system to meet either ISO9000 or IEC61508 standards.

This role is a step from software Engineering towards Project Management and is an important role within the business and requires an affable personality happy to talk to a range of engineers including client side engineers.

We very much prefer UK based (or Midlands based) candidates for this role, those outside the EU will not be considered.
