Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently assisting an independent accountancy firm in Derbyshire, with their recruitment of a Part Time Accounts Senior/Client Manager job.  This role has come about after a good client win which has resulted in this permanent job opportunity which will be for 3 days a week.  There is a possibility that this role will ultimately lead to a full time position and so could offer good prospects for the right candidate.  Ideally you will be qualified on either the ACCA or ACA, although qualified by experience candidates will not be overlooked.  The key requirements are that the right person will be comfortable and confident in managing client expectations and queries face to face as part of their role.  This means excellent technical knowledge covering accounts production, reviewing work of juniors, ad hoc duties such as VAT return preparation and corporation tax computations as well as some personal tax work.  An approachable nature is a must - this is NOT a typical accountants job and so please do not apply if you are not comfortable in a client facing role!

Key Skills



- Accounts preparation for sole trader, partnership and limited company clientele.

- Good understanding of tax compliance, both corporate, personal and VAT.

- Other ad hoc duties as and when required which could include providing advice to clients on payroll, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts.

- Controlling a client portfolio in terms of accounts production and associated tax compliance.

- Building new business with clients, cross selling services and looking for new opportunities to add value to the accountancy service provided.

- Dealing with client technical queries face to face in a professional, efficient manner.

- Reviewing work of 2 juniors, providing training and support where necessary.

- An enthusiastic approach is a must as they are not looking for a shrinking violet
