Our client is a successful and independent firm of Accountants based just north of Derby and offering a varied and rewarding Senior Accountant job role which will involve managing a client portfolio and giving valued support to the firm's Partner and Senior Management.

Your position would involve producing work and reviewing work whilst handling a portfolio of clients that you would be the first point of contact for. You will review accounts from junior staff and prepare accounts for some of the firm's larger limited company clients.
You may also get involved with tax enquiries and planning, reviewing VAT and potentially some aspects of personal tax work.
There will be no audit work involved but business advisory work and management accounts for clients will form part of the role.

There will often be ad hoc assignments which you will be asked to support the partner's on or manage directly. You must be flexible and capable of dealing with such request which can provide exciting and interesting projects.

You must have gained your experience predominantly from working within a practice environment and be either ACA / CA or ACCA qualified or qualified by your experience. This firm is commutable from all areas of Derby and Derbyshire, Matlock, Chesterfield and West Nottingham.
