Our client is looking for a Qualified Social Work Team Leader to join their Older People’s Team.

You will be contributing to the development and management of the Older Peoples’ Social Work Service as a member of the Service Management Team. You will be responsible for the management of staff of one of the three Community Teams working with service users and carers in a diverse and thriving community.

You will need to demonstrate your capacity to perform at a high level in the following areas:
• Supervision, performance appraisal and development of staff.
• Management of duty and case allocation systems.
• Monitoring performance, service delivery and IT systems.
• Service development, and the production and implementation of service plans.
• Commitment to collaborative working with care partners.
• Monitoring, evaluation and management of equalities issues and diversity programmes.
• Discharge process planning and management of rehabilitative and intermediate care provision.

To be a successful applicant you will need the following:
• A recognised Social Work Qualification.
• At least 3 years’ post qualifying experience.
• At least 2 years’ managerial experience.
• Registration with the General Social Care Council.
• The ability to apply for an enhanced CRB disclosure.

This is initially a 6 week contract position which is available to start straight away, but there is possibility for extension and even permanence depending on progress of the employee. The pay rate has been set at £28.00 per hour, not including the various expenses.
